Meat Chicken Levy Regulations
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, having taken into consideration the last recommendation made to the Minister of State for Primary Industries and Energy:
(a) by the Chicken Meat Research Council with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (1) (a) of the Meat Chicken Levy Act 1969; and
(b) by certain members of the Exotic Animal Disease Preparedness Consultative Council with respect to the amount to be prescribed for the purposes of paragraph 7 (1) (b) of the Meat Chicken Levy Act 1969;
hereby make the following Regulations under that Act.

Citation
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Meat Chicken Levy Regulations.
Commencement
2. These Regulations commence on 1 April 1990.
Interpretation
3. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:
“the Act” means the Meat Chicken Levy Act 1969.

Prescribed amounts: subsection 7 (1) of the Act
4. (1) For the purposes of paragraph 7 (1) (a) of the Act, the amount of 0.15 cent is prescribed.
(2) For the purposes of paragraph 7 (1) (b) of the Act, the amount of 0.005 cent is prescribed.
Repeal
5. Statutory Rules 1972 No. 108, 1986 No. 186, 1987 No. 242 and 1989 No. 262 are repealed.
