DAIRY PRODUCE LEVY REGULATIONS - REG 1
Citation

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Dairy Produce Levy Regulations.*1* SEE NOTES TO FIRST ARTICLE OF THIS CHAPTER .

DAIRY PRODUCE LEVY REGULATIONS - REG 2
Interpretation

2. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears, "the Act" means the Dairy Produce Levy (No. 1) Act 1986.

DAIRY PRODUCE LEVY REGULATIONS - REG 3
Prescribed varieties of cheese - definition of "dairy product" in
subsection 4 (1) of the Act

3. For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition of "dairy product" in subsection 4 (1) of the Act, each variety of cheese specified in Schedule 1 is prescribed.

DAIRY PRODUCE LEVY REGULATIONS - REG 4
Rates of levy on the milk fat content of relevant dairy produce

4. (1) The amount of 45 cents per kilogram of milk fat contained in, or comprising, relevant dairy produce is prescribed for the purposes of subsection 7 (1) of the Act.

(2) The amount of 1.05 cents per kilogram of milk fat contained in, or comprising, relevant dairy produce is prescribed for the purposes of subsection 7 (2) of the Act.

(3) The amount of 5.15 cents per kilogram of milk fat contained in, or comprising, relevant dairy produce is prescribed for the purposes of subsection 7 (3) of the Act.

(4) The amount of 1.80 cent per kilogram of milk fat contained in, or comprising, relevant dairy produce is prescribed for the purposes of subsection 7 (4) of the Act.

(5) The amount of 0.042 cent per kilogram of milk fat content in, or comprising, relevant dairy produce is prescribed for the purposes of subsection 7 (4A) of the Act.

Prescribed minimum percentage - subsection 9 (4) of the Act

5. For the purposes of the definition of "minimum percentage" in subsection 9 (4) of the Act, 1% is prescribed.

DAIRY PRODUCE LEVY REGULATIONS - REG 5A
Minimum weight - subsection 9 (4) of the Act

5A. For the purposes of the definition of "minimum weight" in subsection 9 (4) of the Act, a weight of one kilogram is prescribed.

DAIRY PRODUCE LEVY REGULATIONS - REG 6
Rates of levy on dairy products

6. For the purposes of section 10 of the Act, the rate of levy prescribed in respect of a period of 6 months commencing on the date specified in column 2 of Schedule 2 in an item in that Schedule is:
(a) in respect of butter - the rate in dollars per tonne specified in column 3 of that Schedule in that item;
(b) in respect of butteroil - the rate in dollars per tonne specified in column 4 of that Schedule in that item; and
(c) in respect of cheese - the rate in dollars per tonne specified in column 5 of that Schedule in that item.
