An Act to amend the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical
Products (Collection of Levy) Act 1994

[Assented to 21 June 1994]

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

Short title etc.

1.(1) This Act may be cited as the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Levy) Amendment Act 1994.

(2) In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Levy) Act 1994¹.

Commencement

2.(1) If the commencement of the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Interim Levy) Act 1994 is fixed by a Proclamation published in the Gazette, this Act commences on the same day as the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Levy) Act 1994, immediately after the commencement of that last mentioned Act.

(2)  If the Agricultural and Veterinary Chemical Products (Collection of Interim Levy) Act 1994 is repealed by subsection 2(2) of that Act, this Act is repealed on the same day as that Act.

Amendments

3.   The Principal Act is amended as set out in the Schedule.

AMENDMENTS

Subsection 3(1):

(a)   Omit subparagraph (a)(i) of the definition of “prescribed date for payment”.

(b)  Omit “10,” from the definition of “rate of levy”.

Section 7:

Repeal the section.

Section 10:

Repeal the section.

Subsection 14(1):

Omit “7,”.

Subsection 20(1):

Omit “7 or”.

Subsection 39(2):

Omit “10,”.
