An Act to amend the Pig Slaughter Levy Act 1971

The Parliament of Australia enacts:

Short title etc.

1.   (1) This Act may be cited as the Pig Slaughter Levy Amendment Act 1991.

(2)  In this Act, “Principal Act” means the Pig Slaughter Levy Act 1971¹.

Commencement

2.  This Act commences on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.

Rate of the levy

3.  Section 6 of the Principal Act is amended:

(a)  by omitting from paragraph (1) (a) “50 cents” and substituting “$1”;

(b)  by omitting from paragraph (1) (b) “$1.50” and substituting “$2.50”.
