REGULATIONS UNDER THE FILM AND TELEVISION SCHOOL ACT 1973.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of Australia, acting with the advice of the Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Film and Television School Act 1973.

FILM AND TELEVISION SCHOOL REGULATIONS

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Film and Television School Regulations.

Commencement.

2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on 13 November 1973.

Interpretation.

3. In these Regulations, references to a member shall be read as references to such a person who is not a member of the Parliament of Australia or of a State of Australia or an officer of the Australian Public Service.

Fees payable to the Chairman.

4. The fee payable to the Chairman of the Council, in respect of a day on which he attends a meeting of the Council, is—

(a) if the duration of the meeting is less than 3 hours—$25; or

(b) in any other case—$40.

Fees payable to members other than the Chairman.

5. The fee payable to a member of the Council other than the Chairman, in respect of a day on which he attends a meeting of the Council, is—

(a) if the duration of the meeting is less than 3 hours—$20; or

(b) in any other case—$35.

Travelling Allowance.

6. (1) Subject to regulation 6, where a member of the Council is necessarily absent overnight from the city or town in which he ordinarily resides in the course of performing his duties as a member of the Council, travelling allowance is payable to him at the rate at which travelling allowance would be payable to him if he were an officer of the Australian Public Service and were included in the Second Division.

(2) Travelling allowance payable under this regulation is in addition to, and does not include, the cost of conveyance.

Allowances in respect of service outside Australia.

7. (1) Where a member of the Council performs duties outside Australia and the Territories of Australia, he is entitled to be paid such allowances as he would be entitled to be paid if he were an officer of the Australian Public Service and were included in the Second Division.

(2) A member of the Council who is entitled to be paid travelling allowance in respect of a period under sub-regulation (1) of this regulation is not entitled to be paid travelling allowance in respect of that period under regulation 5.
