AN ACT
To repeal section 54b of the Public Service Act 1922–1972, as amended by the Public Service Act 1973 and by the Public Service Act (No. 2) 1973.

BE IT ENACTED by the Queen, the Senate and the House of Representatives of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Public Service Act (No. 3) 1973.
(2) The Public Service Act 1922–1972, as amended by the Public Service Act 1973 and by the Public Service Act (No. 2) 1973, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3) Section 1 of the Public Service Act (No. 2) 1973 is amended by omitting sub-section (4).
(4) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Public Service Act 1922–1973.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Absence from duty in relation to childbirth.
3. Section 54b of the Principal Act is repealed.
