An Act to amend the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1966–1968, as amended by the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1969.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act (No. 2) 1969.
(2) The Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1966–1968, as amended by the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1969, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3.) Section 1 of the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1969 is amended by omitting sub-section (2.).
(4.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1966–1969.
Commencement.
2.—(1.) This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(2.) The amendments made to the Principal Act by this Act shall be deemed to have had effect from and including the twenty-sixth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-six.
Second Schedule.
3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Act is amended—
(a) by omitting from the portion of the second and third columns relating to the University of New South Wales under the heading “Wollongong” the words and figures—
“Erection of building for Departments of Arts, Commerce and Science | 350,000” |
and inserting in their stead the words and figures—
“Erection of building and lecture theatre for Departments of Arts, Commerce and Science........................................................................................ | 350,000”; |
(b) by omitting from the portion of the second and third columns relating to the University of New England the words and figures—

and inserting in their stead the words and figures—

(c) by omitting from the portion of the second and third columns relating to the University of Melbourne the words and figures—

Fifth Schedule.
4. The Fifth Schedule to the Principal Act is amended—
(a) by omitting from the portion of the second and third columns relating to the Brisbane Women’s Hospital the words and figures—

and inserting in their stead the words and figures—
