Universities (Financial Assistance)

An Act to amend the Second Schedule to the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1966-1967 in relation to the University of Newcastle and La Trobe University.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1968.
(2.) The Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1966-1967 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.
(3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Universities (Financial Assistance) Act 1966-1968.
Commencement.
2.—(1.) This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
(2.) The amendments made by sections 3 and 4 of this Act shall be deemed to have had effect from and including the twenty-sixth day of November, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-six.
Second Schedule—University of Newcastle.
3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Act is amended by omitting the words and figures—
