REGULATIONS UNDER THE TRADE COMMISSIONERS ACT 1933-1936.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Trade Commissioners Act 1933-1936.

Amendments of the Trade Commissioners Regulation. †
Travelling allowance in Australia.
1. Regulation 6 of the Trade Commissioners Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—
“(1.) Where a Commissioner who is performing duty in Australia is required to be absent from his head-quarters on official duty, travelling allowance is, subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, payable to him in respect of that absence—
(a) if the maximum salary of the office held by the Commissioner does not exceed Six thousand eight hundred and seven dollars per year—at the rate of Ten dollars per day;
(b) if the maximum salary of the office held by the Commissioner exceeds Six thousand eight hundred and seven dollars per year but does not exceed Nine thousand four hundred and ninety-nine dollars per year—at the rate of Eleven dollars eighty cents per day; or
(c) in any other case—at the rate of Sixteen dollars fifty cents per day.”.

Family visits to Australia.
2. Regulation 12 of the Trade Commissioners Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—
“(3.) Nothing in the last preceding sub-regulation prevents the making of payments in respect of travel by a child to and from school in Australia where the father of the child receives a special child allowance in respect of that child.”; and
(b) by adding after sub-regulation (3.) the following sub-regulation:—
“(4.) This regulation shall not be taken to prevent the making of payments in respect of travel by the wife or children or wife and children of a Commissioner in accordance with the provisions of a determination made by the Governor-General under the Act upon the grant to the Commissioner of leave in accordance with such a determination.”.
Local Leave.
3. Regulation 15 of the Trade Commissioners Regulations is repealed.
Amendments in relation to decimal currency.
4. The Trade Commissioners Regulations are amended as set out in the Schedule to these Regulations.
