An Act relating to the Remuneration of the Justices of the High Court.

[Assented to 4 December, 1965]

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title and citation.

1.—(1.)     This Act may be cited as the Judiciary Act 1965.

(2.)   The Judiciary Act 1903–1960, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Judiciary Act 1903–1965.

Commencement.

2.  This Act shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-five.

Salary.

3.  Section 47 of the Judiciary Act 1903–1960 is amended by omitting from sub-section (1.) the words “Ten thousand” and “Eight thousand five hundred” and inserting in their stead the words “Twelve thousand” and “Ten thousand five hundred”, respectively.
