REGULATIONS UNDER THE EGG EXPORT CONTROL ACT 1947.*
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Egg Export Control Act 1947.

Egg Export Control (Fees, Salaries and Expenses) Regulations.
Citation.
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Egg Export Control (Fees, Salaries and Expenses) Regulations.
Commencement.
2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of January, 1948.
Salary of Chairman of Board.
3. The Chairman of the Board shall receive a salary at the rate of One thousand three hundred and fifty pounds per annum.
Salaries of members.
4. A member of the Board, other than the Chairman, shall receive a salary at the rate of Three hundred pounds per annum:
Provided that, in the absence (through illness or otherwise) of a member of the Board, the person appointed to be the deputy of that member, shall be entitled to receive the salary payable to that member in respect of the period for which he acts as deputy.
Travelling expenses of members.
5.—(1.) A member of the Board and a deputy of a member of the Board while acting as such, shall receive, when necessarily absent from his home overnight in connexion with his attendance at a meeting of the Board or any Committee of the Board or whilst he is engaged on such business of the Board as the Board determines, an allowance at the rate of Two pounds two shillings per day to cover expenses incurred in travelling in connexion with attendance at that meeting or with that business.

(2.) In addition to the allowance specified in sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation, a member and a deputy of a member of the Board while acting as such shall be reimbursed the return fares actually and necessarily incurred in travelling from his place of residence to the place where the meeting is held or the business is transacted :
Provided that, where any member or deputy of a member uses his private car for such travelling, he may be allowed in respect of that use an allowance at the rate payable from time to time to an officer of the Commonwealth Public Service on an equivalent salary.
Fees of members.
6. A member of the Board, other than the Chairman, and a deputy of a member of the Board while acting as such, shall receive, when attending a meeting of the Executive Committee or whilst he is engaged on such business of the Board as the Board determines, a fee at the rate of One pound one shilling per day.
