EGG EXPORT CONTROL.

 

No. 63 of 1948.

An Act to amend the Egg Export Control Act 1947.

[Assented to 6th December, 1948.]

BE it enacted by the King’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title.

1.—(1.)  This Act may be cited as the Egg Export Control Act 1948.

(2.)   The Egg Export Control Act 1947 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

(3.)   The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Egg Export Control Act 1947-1948.

Commencement.

2.  This Act shall be deemed to have commenced on the date on which the Principal Act came into operation.

3.  After section eight of the Principal Act the following section is inserted:—

Officers of Public Service appointed as members of the Board.

“8a.  Where a member of the Board appointed in pursuance of section five of this Act was, immediately before his appointment, an officer of the Public Service of the Commonwealth, his service as a member of the Board shall, for the purpose of determining his existing and accruing rights, be taken into account as if it were service in the Public Service of the Commonwealth and the OfficersRights Declaration Act 1928-1940 shall apply as if this Act and section were specified in the Schedule to that Act.
