REGULATIONS UNDER THE NATIONAL SECURITY ACT 1939.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, in pursuance of the powers conferred by the National Security Act 1939, and all other powers me thereunto enabling, hereby make the following Regulations.

Amendments of Butter and Cheese Acquisition Regulations.†

Dairy Produce Control Committee.

1. Regulation 3 of the Butter and Cheese Acquisition Regulations is amended—

(a) by adding at the end of sub-regulation (3.) the words “and another of the members to be the Deputy Chairman of the Committee”; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulation (4.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(4.) In the absence of the Chairman from any meeting of the Committee the Deputy Chairman shall act as Chairman of that meeting and in the absence from any meeting of both the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman the members present at that meeting may elect one of their number to act as Chairman of that meeting.”.

2.—Regulation 6 of the Butter and Cheese Acquisition Regulations is amended by inserting in sub-regulation (4.), after the word “Chairman”, the words “, or person acting as Chairman,”.
