REGULATION UNDER THE WAR PRECAUTIONS ACT 1914–1916.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulation under the War Precautions Act 1914–1916 to come into operation forthwith.

AMENDMENT OF THE WAR PRECAUTIONS (SUPPLEMENTARY) REGULATIONS 1916.

(Statutory Rules 1916, No, 97, as amended by Statutory Rules 1916. Nos. 112, 122, 128, 129, 135, 167, and 218.)

The War Precautions (Supplementary) Regulations are amended by adding after Regulation thirteen thereof the following Regulation: —

Delegation by Attorney-General to Solicitor-General.

“14.—(1) The Attorney-General may by writing under his hand delegate to the Solicitor-General for the Commonwealth, any of his powers or functions under any Regulation made under the War Precautions Act 1914–1916 (except this power of delegation) so that the delegated powers may be exercised by the Solicitor-General as fully and effectually as by the Attorney-General.

“(2) Every delegation under this Regulation shall be revocable in writing at will; and no delegation shall prevent the exercise of any power by the Attorney-General.

“(3) A copy of each delegation under this Regulation and of each instrument revoking any delegation shall be notified in the Gazette.
