Subsection 81(1)

NOMINATED CARRIER DECLARATION No. 209 MADE – RESEARCH AND EDUCATION INDUSTRY NETWORK TELCO PTY LTD

I, Dominic Byrne, delegate of the Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA), being satisfied that:

(a) if this declaration were made, Research and Education Industry Network Telco Pty Ltd (ACN 679 483 535) (the applicant) would be in a position to comply with all the obligations imposed on the applicant in the applicant’s capacity as the nominated carrier in relation to the network units described below; and

(b) the making of this declaration will not impede the efficient administration of:

(i) the Telecommunications Act 1997;

(ii) the Telecommunications (Consumer Protection and Service Standards) Act 1999 and regulations under that Act;

declare that, Research and Education Industry Network Telco Pty Ltd, holder of carrier licence number 634, is the nominated carrier in relation to all network units which are single line links and multiple line links owned from time to time by REIN Asset Holdings Pty Ltd (ACN 679 483 491) and are located in Australia.
