HEAVY VEHICLE NATIONAL LAW

 

  1.        Purpose

 

The purpose of this notice is to amend stated networks for vehicles on the Regulator’s initiative.   

 

  1.        Commencement date

 

  1.       Suspension or amendment of the routes in Schedule 1 under section 4(1)(a) below commences immediately upon publication of this notice; and

 

  1.       Cancellation or amendment of the routes in Schedule 1 under section 4(1)(b) below commences 28 days after publication of this notice.

 

  1.        Title

 

This notice may be cited as the Heavy Vehicle Stated Maps – Network Suspension and Amendment Notice 2025 (No.13).

 

  1.        Authorising provision

 

  1.       This notice is made under:

 

  1.       Section 175, immediately suspending or amending the routes listed in Schedule 1 of this notice to prevent or minimise serious harm to public safety or significant damage to road infrastructure; and
  2.       Section 173, cancelling or amending the routes listed in Schedule 1 of this notice on the Regulator’s initiative.

 

  1.        Application

 

This notice applies in all participating jurisdictions. 

 

  1.        Amendments

 

The specified networks in Column 2 of Schedule 1 to this notice are amended as specified in Column 4 for the Road Manager’s reasons shown in Column 5.

 

  1.        Public notice of amendment

 

Any person affected by the purpose of the action they make written representation to the Regulator within 14 days of the publication of the notice about why the amendment should not be made.

Transport for New South Wales (TfNSW)

The rail overbridge on the Olympic Highway at Wallendbeen has is now closed to OSOM vehicles over 4.2m. Temporary traffic lights and signage have also been installed at both ends of the bridge and the speed limit reduced from 60 km/h to 40 km/h.

Changes are due to a recent traffic incident and are expected to be in place for several months.

City Of Greater Dandenong

B-Double access for Webster Street, Hammond Road and Broadlands Street has been removed due to permanent road closure on Webster Street.

NSW PBA 2A network

Orange City Council

The following roads are removed from access in Orange:

  • Burrendong Way
  • Ash Street
  • Edward Street
  • Elsham Avenue
  • Forest Road
  • Huntley Road
  • Leewood Drive
  • McNeilly Avenue
  • Stephen Place

The list roads are removed due to long-term scheduled works and temporary the rail corridor closure in the area. The roads are to be readded at an undetermined date.

Victoria's Gazetted B-Double Network

Horsham Rural City Council

The following roads are removed from access in Doen:

  • Molyneaux Road
  • Freds Roads (From Tuckers Road to Freight Terminal Road)

Molyneaux Road will be closed due to safety concerns with exit from the Freight Terminal Road. The list section of Freds Road has already been closed to the public for several years. Tuckers Road is recommended as an alternative route, as it provides suitable access.

NSW Oversize Overmass Load Carrying Vehicles Network Approved Roads

Transport for New South Wales

The rail overbridge on the Olympic Highway at Wallenbeen is now closed to combinations over 4.2m.

Please be advised there are now changed traffic conditions at the rail overbridge on the Olympic Highway at Wallendbeen following damage from a recent traffic incident.

 

OSOM vehicles over 4.2m must find an alternative route due to a lane closure.

 

At this stage, it is expected these restrictions will be in place for several months.
