ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION (SEA DUMPING) ACT 1981
MATTERS TO BE PUBLISHED IN THE GAZETTE

FOR THE PERIOD: 1 January 2020 to 31 March 2020

Pursuant to section 25 of the Environment Protection (Sea Dumping) Act 1981 (the Act), notice is given that:

Applications received under section 18 of the Act

• An application (SD2020/3987) was received on 18 February 2020 from Busselton Jetty Incorporated, PO Box 851, Busselton, Western Australia, 6280 (ABN: 87 307 176 949), for the placement of the SS Pericles Replica, and a further 12 Sculptural modules, offshore at Busselton Jetty, Busselton, Western Australia.
• An application (SD2020/3989) was received on 10 March 2020 from the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment, Corner of Burrawang and Graham Streets, Narooma, New South Wales, 2546 (ABN: 20 770 707 468), for the placement of an artificial reef, offshore of Tweed Heads, New South Wales.

Applications received for variations under section 23 of the Act

• An application for a variation to a permit (SD2016/3242) was received on 3 February 2020 from Robe River Mining Co. Pty. Ltd, Level 24, Central Park, 152‑158 St Georges Terrace, Perth, Western Australia, 6000 (ACN: 008 694 246), to extend the expiry date of the permit (by 10 months) from 31 May 2019 until 31 March 2020.

Permit Variations granted under sections 21 and 23 of the Act

• A variation (No.2) to a permit (SD2016/3242) was granted on 26 February 2020 to Robe River Mining Co. Pty. Ltd, Level 24, Central Park, 152‑158 St Georges Terrace, Perth, Western Australia, 6000 (ACN: 008 694 246), to extend the expiry date of the permit (by 10 months) from 31 May 2019 until 31 March 2020.

The Minister/delegate did not require the variation to the permit to undergo an assessment in accordance with section 160 of the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999 (EPBC Act).
