New South Wales Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicles Notice Amendment Notice 2015 (No. 2)

1        Purpose

The purpose of this Notice is to make minor amendments to the Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicles Notice 2014 published in the New South Wales Government Gazette No 15 of 7 February 2014, at pages 387 to 425.

2        Authorising Provision

This Notice is made under Section 117, and Section 23 of Schedule 1, of the Heavy Vehicle National Law.

3        Commencment Date

This Notice commences on the date of publication.

4         Amendment of 2014 Notice

The New South Wales Class 1 Special Purpose Vehicles Notice 2014 – APPENDIX 2 is amended as follows—

(1)     In row 8, column 3 in table under clause 2.3 Week Day and Travel Restrictions:

omit- ‘If wider than 3.2m Monday – Friday 5.30am to 9.30am; Monday –Friday 3.00pm to 6.00pm (except on state-wide public holidays)’ and;

insert - ‘If wider than 3.2m Monday – Friday 5.30am to 9.00am; and Monday –Friday 3.00pm to 6.00pm (except on statewide public holidays)’.

(2)     In row 4 in table under clause 2.4.2:

omit- ‘Between Nepean River at Emu Plains and Bowenfels’ and;

insert - ‘Between Nepean River at Emu Plains and the Castlereagh Highway at Marrangaroo’

(3)     In the table under clause 2.4.2 omit:

(4)     Insert a new subclause in clause 2.4 Night Travel:

‘2.4.3 Travel between 10.00pm and sunrise is permitted for the following vehicles on the roads and areas set out in the table below:

1. A mobile crane that exceeds 3.1 metres in width or 14.5 metres in length, or
2. A special purpose vehicle or special purpose vehicle combination that exceeds 2.5metres in width or 22 metres in length.’

And insert the following table:

(5)    In the table under clause 3 NSW Police Contact Details:

omit- ‘(02) 8882 1219’ and;

insert – ‘(02) 8882 1436’
