Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Regulations2 (Amendment)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Act 1940.

Clothing allowance

1. Regulation 38a of the Seamen’s War Pensions and Allowances Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from column 2 of the table in sub-regulation (1) “4.60”, “2.20”, “3.00” and “3.00” and substituting “4.90”, “2.30”, “3.20” and “3.20”, respectively;

(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (2) “$4.60” (wherever occurring) and substituting “$4.90”; and

(c) by omitting from sub-regulation (4) “$57.20” and substituting “$59.80”.

Application

2. (1) The amendments effected by paragraphs 1 (a) and (b) apply in respect of instalments of allowance payable on or after 7 November 1985.

(2) The amendment effected by paragraph 1 (c) applies in respect of any amount payable on or after 7 November 1985.
