Export Control (General) Regulations2 (Amendment)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Export Control Act 1982.

Commencement
1. These Regulations shall come into operation on 29 April 1985.
Principal Regulations
2. In these Regulations, “Principal Regulations” means the Export Control (General) Regulations.
Interpretation
3. Regulation 3 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the following definitions: “abalone”; “Australian boat”; “dairy produce”; “fish”; “foreign boat”; “honey”; “licensed foreign boat”; “refined tallow”;
(b) by omitting from sub-regulation (1) the definition of “repealed regulations” and substituting the following definition:
“ ‘repealed regulations’ means the Exports (Canned and Frozen Fruits) Regulations, the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations, the Exports (Fresh Fruits) Regulations, the Exports (Fresh
Vegetables) Regulations and the Exports (General) Regulations;”; and
(c) by omitting sub-regulation (3) and substituting the following sub-regulation:
“(3) A reference in these Regulations to the Exports (Canned and Frozen Fruits) Regulations, the Exports (Dried Fruits) Regulations, the Exports (Fresh Fruit) Regulations, the Exports (Fresh Vegetables) Regulations or the Exports (General) Regulations is a reference to those Regulations as in force on 31 December 1982.”.
Declaration of prescribed goods
4. Regulation 4 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1) and substituting the following sub-regulation:
“(1) The following are declared to be prescribed goods:
(a) canned or frozen vegetables;
(b) fresh vegetables;
(c) fruit;
(d) fruit juice;
(e) fruit pulp.”.
Conditions, &c., for export of prescribed goods
5. Regulation 5 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting paragraphs (1) (b), (d), (da) and (g);and
(b) by omitting sub-regulation (2).
Modifications of the Exports (General) Regulations
6. Regulation 12 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a) by adding at the end of paragraph (1) (c) “and”;
(b) by omitting from paragraph (1) (d) “and”; and
(c) by omitting paragraph (1) (e).
Registration of premises
7. Regulation 17 of the Principal Regulations is amended—
(a) by omitting Items 2, 4 and 7 from the table in sub-regulation (4); and
(b) by omitting sub-regulation (5).
Notice of intention to export prescribed goods
8. Regulation 21 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraph (b) and substituting the following paragraph:
“(b) in the case of prescribed goods that are canned or frozen fruit, canned or frozen vegetables, dried fruit, fruit juice or fruit pulp—shall be furnished not less than 3 clear working days before the day on which it is intended to export the goods; and”.
Fee for officers’ services
9. Regulation 31 of the Principal Regulations is amended by omitting paragraphs (1) (b), (d) and (i).
Repeal
10. Regulations 7, 9, 14, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 27 of the Principal Regulations are repealed.
Schedule of further amendments
11. The Export Control (General) Regulations are further amended as set out in the Schedule.
