Securities Industry Regulations2
(Amendment)
I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, being advice that, as required by subsection 150 (5) of the Securities Industry Act 1980, is consistent with resolutions of the Ministerial Council for Companies and Securities, hereby make the following Regulation under that Act.

After regulation 46 of the Securities Industry Regulations the following regulation is inserted:
Exemption from subsection 131 (1) of the Act
“46a. For the purposes of paragraph 150 (2) (d) of the Act, subsection 131 (1) of the Act does not have effect in relation to transactions entered into by a member of a stock exchange in accordance with the business rules of that stock exchange.”.
