Spirits

An Act to amend section 3 of the Spirits Act 1906-1968.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—
Short title and citation.
1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Spirits Act 1969.
(2.) The Spirits Act 1906–1968, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Spirits Act 1906-1969.
Commencement.
2. This Act shall come into operation on the day on which it receives the Royal Assent.
Interpretation.
3. Section 3 of the Spirits Act 1906–1968 is amended—
(a) by omitting from paragraph (a) of the definition of “Pure Australian Standard Brandy” the word “forty” and inserting in its stead the word “forty-five”; and
(b) by omitting from paragraph (a) of the definition of “Australian Blended Brandy” the word “forty” and inserting in its stead the word “forty-five”.
