National Health (No. 2)

An Act to amend the National Health Act 1953-1964, as amended by the National Health Act 1965, in relation to Decimal Currency.

BE it enacted by the Queens Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title and citation.

1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the National Health Act (No. 2) 1965.

(2.) The National Health Act 1953-1964, as amended by the National Health Act 1965, is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.


(3.) Section 1 of the National Health Act 1965 is amended by omitting sub-section (2.).

(4.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the National Health Act 19531965.

Commencement.

2. This Act shall come into operation on the fourteenth day of February, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-six.

3. Section 22 of the Principal Act is repealed and the following section inserted in its stead:—

Payment to be made to the next multiple of five cents.

22. Where an amount ascertained in accordance with this Part, as affected by the Currency Act 1965, is not a multiple of Five cents, the amount of cents shall be increased to the nearest higher amount that is a multiple of Five cents..
