Dairy Produce Export Control

An Act to amend the Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1924-1963.

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows:—

Short title and citation.

1.—(1.) This Act may be cited as the Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1965.

(2.) The Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1924-1963 is in this Act referred to as the Principal Act.

(3.) The Principal Act, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1924-1965.

Commencement.

2. This Act shall come into operation on the first day of July, One thousand nine hundred and sixty-five.

Deputies of members.

3. Section 7 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from the sub-section inserted by section 6 of the Dairy Produce Export Control Act 1963 the figure and letter “(1a.)” and inserting in their stead the figure and letters “(1aa.)”.

Dairy Produce Fund.

4.—(1.) Section 21 of the Principal Act is amended by omitting from sub-section (1.) the words “moneys equal to the amounts of charge received under the Dairy Produce Export Charge Act 1962” and inserting in their stead the words “amounts equal to the amounts of levy received by the Secretary to the Department of Primary Industry by virtue of paragraph (c) of sub-section (1.) of section six of the Butter Fat Levy Act 1965”.

(2.) Where amounts of charge imposed by the Dairy Produce Export Charge Act 1962 are received after the commencement of this Act, those amounts shall, for the purposes of the Principal Act as amended by this Act, be deemed to be amounts of levy received by the Secretary to the Department of Primary Industry by virtue of paragraph (c) of sub-section (1.) of section 6 of the Butter Fat Levy Act 1965.
