INTERNATIONAL WHEAT AGREEMENT.

An Act to approve Acceptance by Australia of the Agreement Revising and Renewing the International Wheat Agreement.

[Assented to 26th October, 1953.]

BE it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, as follows :—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the International Wheat Agreement Act 1953.

Commencement.

2. This Act shall come into operation on a date to be fixed by Proclamation.

Repeal.

3. The International Wheat Agreement Act 1949 is repealed.

Approval of acceptance.

4. Approval is given to acceptance by Australia of the Agreement Revising and Renewing the International Wheat Agreement, signed on behalf of Australia at Washington in the United States of America on the twentieth day of April, One thousand nine hundred and fifty-three, in accordance with Article XX. of the first-mentioned agreement.
