REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1934.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1934.

Amendment of the Postal Regulations.†

Late fees.

1. Regulation 7 of the Postal Regulations is amended—

(a) by omitting from sub-regulation (2.) the words “except parcels,”; and

(b) by omitting sub-regulation (3.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(3.) The late fee on ordinary parcels, registered parcels, cash-on-delivery parcels, or insured parcels, which are posted for any destination at any post office at which ‘late fee’ parcels are accepted, shall be Twopence for each parcel.”.

Undelivered postal articles generally.

2. Regulation 103 of the Postal Regulations is amended—

(a) by inserting at the end of paragraph (c) of sub-regulation (2.) the word “or”; and

(b) by omitting paragraph (e) of sub-regulation (2.).
