REGULATIONS UNDER THE WHEAT INDUSTRY ASSISTANCE ACT 1938.

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Wheat Industry Assistance Act 1938.

Wheat Industry Assistance (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.

Citation.

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Wheat Industry Assistance (Fees and Expenses) Regulations.

Commencement.

2. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the second day of December, 1938.

Application.

3. These Regulations shall not apply to any member who is an officer of the Public Service of the Commonwealth.

Definitions.

4. In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears—

“member” means a member of the Wheat Stabilization advisory Committee constituted under the Wheat Industry Assistance Act 1938, and includes a deputy of a member whilst acting as such.

Fee payable to members of Committee.

5. Each member shall be paid a fee of Three pounds three shillings in respect of each day upon which he attends, a meeting of the Committee.

Travelling expenses payable to members of Committee.

6.—(1.) Where any member is obliged to be absent from his home overnight, in connexion with attendance at any meeting of the Committee, he shall be paid travelling expenses at the rate of One pound ten shillings per day for the period during which he is so absent from home.

(2.) In addition to the allowance specified in sub-regulation (1.) of this regulation, each member shall be reimbursed the cost of conveyance actually and necessarily incurred in travelling in order to attend the meeting.
