WESTERN AUSTRALIA GRANT.

 

No. 10 of 1926.

An Act to grant and apply out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund a sum for the purposes of Financial Assistance to the State of Western Australia.

Preamble.

BE it enacted by the Kings Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia, for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives, as follows:—

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Western Australia Grant Act 1926.


Payment for financial assistance to Western Australia.

2. There shall be payable out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund, which is hereby appropriated accordingly, for the purposes of financial assistance to the State of Western Australia to be applied by the State to such objects as the Parliament of the State shall from time to time have approved, during the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, such sum as, added to the payment which that State is entitled to receive for that year under the provisions of section five of the Surplus Revenue Act 1910, equals the sum of Four hundred and fifty thousand pounds.

Instalments to be determined by Treasurer.

3. The amount payable under this  Act shall be paid in such instalments as the Treasurer determines.
