An Act to grant and apply a sum out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and seventeen for the purposes of Additions, New Works, Buildings, &c.

[Assented to 15th June, 1917.]

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, the Senate, and the House of Representatives of the Commonwealth of Australia for the purpose of appropriating the grant originated in the House of Representatives as follows:

Short title.

1. This Act may be cited as the Supply Act (Works and Buildings) (No. 5) 1916-17.

Issue and application of £244,594.

2. (1.) There shall and may be issued and applied, for or towards making good the supply hereby granted to His Majesty, for the service of the year ending the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and seventeen the sum of Two hundred and forty-four thousand five hundred and ninety-four pounds out of the Consolidated Revenue Fund.

Amendment of Acts in the First Schedule.

(2.) The Supply Acts mentioned in the First Schedule to this Act are hereby amended so that the sums granted by the said Acts and the sum granted by this Act, amounting, as appears in the Second Schedule to this Act in the aggregate to the sum of Five millions five hundred and fifteen thousand six hundred and eighty-four pounds, are issuable and applicable by the Treasurer, and shall be deemed to have been issuable and applicable by the Treasurer as from the date of the passing of the Act No. 19 of 1916 for the purposes and services expressed in the Second Schedule to this Act, in lieu of the purposes and services expressed in the Schedules to the said Acts.

Sum available for the purposes set forth in the Second Schedule.

3. The said sum shall be available to satisfy the warrants under the hand of the Governor-General in respect of any purposes and services set forth in the Second Schedule to this Act.

Limit of period of expenditure.

4. No moneys shall be expended under the authority of this Act after the thirtieth day of June One thousand nine hundred and seventeen.
